Preliminary Hearings in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania

I hear it often and every time I hear it, I cringe. What is "it?" Someone telling me that they are going to waive (bypass) their preliminary hearing. A preliminary hearing is invaluable in determining how to subsequently attack an individuals criminal charges in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania.
